Only An Hour From Atlanta - Pickens County 

Bent Tree is described as one of the best-kept secrets in North Georgia, 60 miles north of Atlanta, nestled in the foothills of the sirene Appalachian Mountains. 

Lake Tamarack is just under 10 minutes from Jasper and under two hours from Rome.

Life on the Lake

Located in the Bent Tree community, Lake Tamarack is a private 110-acre lake that is 85 feet deep and fed by numerous streams. It is inhabited by various types of bass and is also stocked annually with trout. Bluegills, black crappies, and breams have also been caught.  

Many people enjoy Lake Tamarack's mountain views from their canoes, kayaks, sail, or paddle boats, which may be stored at the onsite boat storage facility. Gas-powered engines are not permitted on the lake, but electric motors are allowed.

Enjoy a private golfing experience at the Bent Tree Country Club in Jasper with 18 holes. 

The Courts at Bent Tree is a beautiful facility with a full menu of tennis & pickleball activities and lessons for the enthusiast as well as fundamental instruction for beginning players. 

For equestrian lovers, experience riding the beautiful wooded mountain trails with guided trail rides alongside rushing creeks, through wooded terrain, and besides an inspiring waterfall. 

Take in the majestic scenery of Bent Tree by visiting one of the four hiking trails: Sallie Doss, Forever Memorial, Denny Ridge, and Beaver Run. 

Bent Tree even has its own swimming pool, dog park, and kids' playground. 

Community Events and Activities

The Bent Tree community is tight-knit, with a committee that hosts a plethora of events throughout the year. Arts & Crafts, Woodworking, Trivia Nights, a Knitting Group, and the Newcomers Group are just some of the activities this community enjoys. 

A Fourth of July celebration for families with children, called "Youth Fest," is a week of fun and activities which draws over 200 children every year.

Atlanta is just a short drive from this hidden community. You can visit the World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium or eat some tasty food in the city.

Bent Tree is a total escape from city life, with the nearest major airport being Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Pickens County Airport is located nine miles away and is a great place to store your aircraft. As a backdrop to the 5002-foot runway is a sky painted with a breathtaking view of the mountains and colorful trees. 

If you ever need medical attention, Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is located in Jasper.
